Got two full days there back end of the week as a stopover. Any recommendations on what to do, where to go and eat for our short stay.

The safari and have your photo taken with the marbleish dragon
Pualu Ubin if you have time
Indoor sky diving
Universal studios
Mega adventure For a big zip wire experience
Raffles for a Singapore sling is a homage but not really worth the effort
I go there 3or 4 times a year atm Personally I’m not that keen on the place generally but others seem to like it for a long weekend break
Yeah don't bother with the Singapore sling. Pulau Ubin is good to see what Singapore was like in the past, probably a stretch for only two days there though.
Get the open bus tour and hop off at places that look interesting. Take the river boat tour in the evening and then go to Level 33 for a beer and a great view of Marina Bay at night (it's where the F1 track is). Although the best view is at Swissotel.
Go to Glutton Bay or Lau Pa Sat for lunch one day. They're touristy versions of traditional food centres with loads of choice of stalls with local foods from the region.
Night Safari is worth it, I haven't been to another zoo like it.
Save yer money
Post Brexit we will be the European Singapore.
I do chuckle when socialists lap at the shores of greedy capitalism ( not the OP though )
Thanks
Zoo and night safari are both good.
Really don't bother with raffles, waste of time
Loads of touristy stuff to do in Sentosa, but depends what you're looking for.
Food wise you can dine out for a few quid or spend £100 on a steak and everything inbetween. Personally I would find some well rated street food type places and it should be great.
I would go to one of the fancy bars that are up in the top of some of the skyscrapers though, as you get an incredible view while you're enjoying a few drinks.
The Night Safari is brilliant.
Also, why not try Sentosa Island, which has rides etc and is reached by cable car?
I'm not even a rides person, but the luges are great fun!

Thanks again, everyone, back now after nearly three weeks (a couple of days in Singapore, and the remainder in jaw dropping Krabi).
Went to L33 which was great and also Lau Pa Sat, the rest will need to wait until our next trip. The real struggle with this is the non stop flight back from Singapore (at least on the outward, we were looking forward to hols). The near 15 hour flight was a real struggle and something I seemed to cope with far better as a youngster than I do now, I'm still knackered three days later and had some leg cramp to boot. Although that's what middle age brings, I know I am middle aged now as I really enjoyed walking the Botanical gardens in Singapore. The gardens by the bay were doubly impressive.
Nice, glad you visited those two places - kind of a mix of old and new.
Unless you already have, please go to see a doctor about the leg cramp. It can be - not always of course - a symptom of thrombosis and that can kill you. A very good mate of mine holidayed in China for his retirement, had leg pains on his return, ignored them, and died shortly after.
I'm not trying to freak you out, it's probably fine. But if it is thrombosis it can be treated very easily. If you die, it can't.
If your a socialist stay away from this evil free capitalism economy
Sir James Dyson is convinced -he’s off there !
If you fancy a rest from all the stunning modernity in Singapore have a walk around Little India. Largely devoid of tourists but all the more interesting for it.
I was gently set upon by a passing priest and given a bindi in one of the temples. Lovely experience.
