Former Echo reporter and long time Cardiff City reporter.
Sad to mention that Steve Tucker has passed away suddenly. Covered @CardiffCityFC @cardiffcitymad for many years until last season for The Echo and leaves a young family behind. I have known Steve for almost 20 years and even been working with him recently. Always fun, RIP mate.

How?
That’s shocking news.
RIP Steve.
Very sad. I wouldn't know who the echo correspondent for Cardiff city is now
Really sad news. Really liked Steve. Was a top bloke, with a great sense of humour.
RIP Steve
RIP Steve
That's bad news, i liked him, he used to piss a few people off on here when he was critical of the club, that's why i liked him! Condolences to his family.
Fecking hell, that’s a shock, what a top man, always happy to engage with City fans.
RIP Steve.
Bless him.
Really sad to hear this news.
Condolences to his family.
Very sad news. He can't have been very old. Link to some of his recent (last year, post WOL) stuff here:

RIP Steve. Did a good job over the years covering City.
Really shocked. Exchanged twitter banter with Steve only a couple of weeks ago. Condolences to his family.
RIP Steve, terrible news.
Yep, think he was. Wasn't it Steve that written the "Cardiff Blues were gutted, Cardiff City were gutless" article when City missed out on the playoffs after only needing 4 points from 24 (or whatever it was)? Then Dave Jones proper went off on him at the start of the next season?
His music taste suggests he couldn't have been much older than fifty - I'm really shocked by this news.
Thanks for posting that link because I think it goes a long way to support my view that Steve Tucker was a better, and very funny, writer on the world in general than he was on football. That's not to say he was poor when it came to writing about the game in general and Cardiff City in particular by any means (what came over when he was writing about City was the fact that he was such a fan), but I used to love his columns before he became a football writer first and foremost at Wales Online and his articles in that link brought back memories of his earlier stuff.
One thing is for sure, if I was asked to name all of the people who have written on Cardiff City for the Western Mail and Echo since I first saw us play, Steve Tucker would be one of the first names I'd come up with because bland he most definitely was not!
RIP.
Condolences to his friends and family.
Just to say that I've just read that he would have been 53 tomorrow - no age at all.
Terrible news.
Seemed like a top bloke. Always enjoyed listening to him on Blakey's boot room and he never took himself too seriously.
Condolences to the family
Really sad news.
A top guy who I had the pleasure of spending a bit of time with out in Canada for our pre-season tour a good 10 years or so ago, not sure Dave Jones was keen on him travelling with the squad like Terry Phillips ( ); so he had managed to have a flight sponsored by Visit Vancouver or something similar.
He also tried to help me out when we were banned from Molineux.
RIP Steve.
RIP Steve, forever a Bluebird. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Shocking news ..... RIP fella
