Yes, he was funny once about 40 years ago, after that it was the samer old sh1te every time.

I think his comedic genius can be measured by the response of other celebrities as mentioned in the BBC news page, tributes from - Bobby Davro, Jim Davidson and Amanda Hoden.

To comment in an ongoing thread that you didn't find someone funny I can understand, but to start the thread yourself with the intention of just being negative just doesn't seem right.
His routine about singers miming to tapes was very well done and funny. His story to Mohammed Ali on Parko was great, but can't think of too many other routines that he did that were memorable.

I never found him funny, but comedy, like music is very subjective.
And I certainly wouldn't be able to make a living from either.
Comedy and music definitely do date arguably comedy more so than music these days.
Both are at their best when they seem new, inventive and daring, and that is always lost with the passage of time.
Watching only fools these days is the televisual equivalent of putting on a well worn pair of slippers.
