Great idea, I'm really bored of watching real players on Sky TV
The players already wear sensors as part of the Opta malarkey, so it should be easily doable.

On livescore.com there's an option called Tracker where they show where the ball is and who's attacking or if the ball is safe etc. I watched this for a while recently before thinking this is a bizarre way to follow a game (and I've watched the pages turn on Ceefax) but could this be developed? Maybe the same kind of bird's eye view they used on Football Manager with dots representing the players and the dots would move in relation to their position? I don't know how they'd do this - all the players would need a kind of GPS somehow, but if there's absolutely no other way of 'seeing' the game then I'd give it a go. Anyway, just a close season thought.

On a similar note who's seen that advert for 5g which has people watching the game "as if there" through VR goggles. That's the future right there, guaranteed
Tracker is great no need to pay your tv licence .Eh croesy!
BT did it for the champs league final also. It's a good gimmick at the moment, for me the goggles start to irritate me after a while. Perfectly suited for VR porn at the moment as it doesn't last as long.
I guess moving forward, as the more expensive equipment becomes more mainstream then this will be the future.
