They have not been kind, Tough old run in from April on.
On paper a fairly comfortable first month (ok you don't play football on paper) and a tough last month.
Would like to see a decent start with 14 points by end of August.
Not over enthusiastic about the Christmas and Easter period being plenty of away games.
Seems crazy that we play 6 league games in August.
Took us until 22 September to play our 6th league game last season.
Pleased we're home on Boxing Day. Odd that our first two midweek home matches are on a Wednesday, but then we switch back to the normal Tuesdays after that.
Don't think that there's much point talking about "easy" starts and "difficult" last months in this division in particular - squads will look a lot different come transfer window closing day than they do now.
The TV fixtures for the opening weekend have already been announced and Cardiff are not involved. Later in the season the home games with Reading and Leeds clash with Six Nations games at the Millennium Stadium so are likely to be moved.
I'm just pleased to see we are back playing midweek games. I don't think I've ever seen so few games as I did last season.

If you wanted a reminder that the Championship is a bastard, look at that!
Millwall away and Brentford away both midweek.
So fixed the competition and the league should be ashamed of themselves.
Nothing random about these selections whatsoever.
No one has ever said the fixtures are random have they? Certain teams have to be away on the same days, boxing day and NYD fixtures are supposed to be easier for travellers etc.

Weird. After last season's fixture list put the fear of god in me, I look at that and think every game is winable.
