Bertie, Freddie, Archie, Tom all back in fashion but we’re crying out for a Ronnie or two😢
A long way to go but promising to hear of another Welsh name being mentioned at a high level.
Robbie Burton is another name to watch out for, he's been impressive for Arsenal as an attacking midfielder in their pre-season friendlies.
Terry. That's a proper name.
Let's not forget that our most expensive signing was a Gary. Odd in today's world, but particularly odd for someone from South America.
There seems to be something of a cycle in fashion for names. Once we get past the fashion for pre-war favourites like Oliver, Oscar, George and Jack, we will presumably move back to the names popular in the 1950s like James, John, Steven, Mike, Dave, Peter and Ian. Or if you are feeling a bit exotic, maybe an Alan, Colin, Keith or Ken.
P.s. I wonder if Organ Morgan is going to be able to resist commenting on the impact of immigration on baby names today...
