    Parking at the Ground

Will be over from France in August and wanting to take my 6 year old to the Huddersfield game. What is car parking like at the ground?? How soon do I need to get there?? cost??? What is it like leaving after the game to get back to Cardiff Bay??? Do I have to pre-book?

I used to park near The Cornwall but it a bit far for son to walk.

6 year old, to far to walk !!!!!!!

Better than waiting 30/40 minutes to get out of the car park

Keep parking near the Cornwall if you can. I'd do miles upon miles out playing when I was his age. Surely it's less than a mile walk.

Also, walking with the crowd to the game is something he'll remember for years to come.

There’s parking in canton rugby club , and in the atheistic stadium opposite the ground. Also believe this year you can park on the day in the stadium car park for £10. But it’s murder getting out.

I always park at Gol Soccer Centre on Lawrenny Avenue.
It’s 20 mins walk, but it’s a fiver to park and they give you a voucher for a fiver to spend at the bar.
The only thing is it does take a while to get out afterwards.

Depending on what part of the bay you live, can you get a bus to Grangetown and walk? I've got a 6 year old who is one of the most reluctant walkers ever but we have no problems walking from Grangetown train station.

You can park up by the casino next to the ground by Asda, register your car plate number to avoid a fine
Getting out is a pain though unless you have a drink after the game, and wait for the traffic to disperse

And he doesn't have to stand all the way through the game like we had to as kids. It was terrible.
Oh wait a minute, no it wasn't. It was great!!!
