Derby have confiscated all their players arm bands & rubber rings in readiness for their postponement excuses!
Any news on Etheridge, Pack and NML?
Hoilett probably missing because of serious family illness - came back early from Canada duty.
Bacuna late back from internationals - flying into East Midlands later today?
Jazz injured again - tackled by Flint in training and ankle swollen!
Connolly had more surgery to repair ankle - sounds like last chance to get playing again?
Sol Bamba, Neil Etheridge and Marlon Pack all making good progress - and appear to be ahead of expectations.
Other niggles mean Warnock doesn't know his team yet - but it won't be the one he planned (he says).
Ciaron Brown impressing, and Omar Bogle cemented his place back in the squad after changing his attitude.
Depending on the niggles and how knackered Bacuna is, I would expect a very similar line up to recent matches - with central midfield the major doubt.

(Sorry - should have put this in the match thread).
I wouldn't be surprised if he chucked one of the lads that's "making progress" straight back in.
I'd imagine it will be Smithies; Peltier, Flint, Morrison, Bennett; Vaulks, Ralls, Tomlin; NML, Murphy; Bogle.
Glad the international break is over. Seems to be ages since City last played.
Warnock did hint at a couple of injuries to forward players so we might see one or two changes. I also expect, like an earlier poster for 1or2 of the long term absentees to be at least on the bench. Etheridge probably , Bamba possibly. I also expect Hoilett will be part of the squad.
Smithies

Flint
Bennett
Bacuna
Ralls
Tomlin
NML
Glazil
Murphy.
I'd like to sed Bogle start.
Love to see Pack back he looks a good buy and Derby are strong in that department ..
Vaulks is a mystery after all the hype, can't see him starting .
Think Whyte will start ,he is improving with each game .
Flint is beginning to settle in and looks a danger in the oppositions box .
For me Ralls is our best player
this year and he will give Derby problems,
I hope they are right:

Vaulks has been the biggest disappointment for me so far this season - apart from the injuries. I really thought he would have the attributes to become our first choice midfielder - able to play as a 6 or an 8 and to be a leader in the team and source of goals. He did all of that at Rotherham but from what Warnock has hinted, it seems he has found it difficult to adapt to a bigger club and greater expectations after the move.
Hopefully he (and Glatzel) will click soon. That said I think Bacuna has done well alongside Ralls with Pack out. I don't like him at RB but he has been much better than most on here predicted in the middle. If Bacuna is jet-lagged maybe this will be Vaulks' chance?
Totally agree regarding Vaulks. I do wonder whether he's a confidence player and being the main man at Rotherham suited him really well. I'm sure he'll come good and hopefully it won't take too long.
The key things are that we stick with Tomlin as he can pick a pass like nobody else in our squad - and Glatzel needs more support up top.

Mendez-Laing
Paterson
Murphy

The only time I’ve seen our Neil move from the ‘one up top’ is when it’s the last throw of the dice time when we’re 2 goals down. It must be difficult moving to a new league when every time you get the ball there’s 2 defenders on you. He needs that first goal and in a way I wish Murphy had squared that ball instead of scoring himself against Newcastle just to get him up and running.
If we win we will be in top 6.
Is it possible that the game is postponed due to the heat?
Team
Paterson starts. Only change.

Tomlin was apparently in a minor car crash this week.
Hooooooof
I guess Hoilett would have started if he hadnt had some personal problems this week.
Will be wishing for the international break again after watching this I bet
