I can wait for this general election as for the first time in my lifetime MP's have been so exposed to scrutiny to the public over the last three years .
Perhaps , for the first time voting , in line with ones generation trend before them ,may not happen. ??
I also think a lot of folk won't vote , as they dislike their perspective leaders .
Labour party make take the biggest hit and I'm guessing that what's the latest amendment mantra is all about to include 16/17 years / European national , yep its all about vote gathering.
Shame the 16/17 year old vote didnt go through. They could have voted and then mugged the tory voting oap's on the way homw
Bloody well read political hoodies taking over our politics , they should concentrate more on getting their voting right on X Factor and Love Island first ,its all over the place .
I guess MP's do know many dont leave thier bedrooms , and its very dark and
cold after 4pm
It'll be another General Election I won't partake in. GCHQ will have to go back and check the 1997 ballot papers to discover who I voted for (Plaid Cymru, as with all prior) in our un-secret ballots.
Once more, whatever the composition the new House of Commons will be those legalised loan sharks in the City of London will be quids in as they'll continue to magic 97% of the money supply into existence from zilch to loan out at interest as all 650 MPs will have their backs.
Actually I had an allotment in Harrow when I lived in London so I can't knock him for that . I'm lucky enough to have a very big garden now with polytunnels although unfortunately I find the digging and stuff such hard work that I keep saying this is the last year with the vegetables , although just like Sir Neil I keep doing it for another year.
I have indeed got sheds, but I think I'll base the government in my log cabin, which I shall remodel to resemble the Chieftain's Hrall of my Ancestors.
I shall adopt the title of Jarl and my herdsmen will drive away unwelcome interlopers. Capitalists will be welcome, as will climate change deniers, smokers and all hard fighting men who are roisterers and doisterers. You and WB will be honoured guests if you can bring your dragon head boats around the coast , raiding as you go, but weaklings and virtue signallers will not be welcome.
Theresa May had a majority in government with the DUP. They failed to bring about Brexit when it was in their own hands. Had they all supported May, Brexit would have happened by now. That is unquestionable.
Typical Tory. Blame everyone else for your own failings.
Questions for this coming election:
NHS or Brexit?
Jobs or Brexit?
Workers' rights or Brexit?
Supporting our vunerable veterans or Brexit?
Living wage or Brexit?
Freedom to live, work and study in Europe or Brexit?
Council services or Brexit?
Trying to eradicate homelessness and foodbank usage or Brexit?
Is there anyone willing to say they prioritise Brexit above everything else, who supports Johnson, despite his own government's analysis?
Well, I watched Newsnight last night and saw Conservative, Labour, Lib Dem and SNP MPs being interviewed along with a representative from the Brexit Party and, based on what was said, I thought my vote would be best cast by asking for an independent Scotland . Is Richard Burgon seen as some sort of rising star in the Labour party because he always seems to be on the telly and yet every time I see him he makes me less likely to vote for them.
Tories are at 36%, Labour at 24% support according to the BBC political poll tracker: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49798197
Labour's worst post WW2 General Election showing was in 1983 when they attracted 27.6% of the popular vote for 209 seats. 41 of them were in Scotland where they were decimated in 2015 winning just a single seat, down from 41 five years earlier. They captured seven in 2017. Unless they have a remarkable upturn in fortunes they'll return under 200 MPs. It'll be nearer 150 should they allow that ghastly creature Dianne Abbott near TV studios again.
The Tory lead was 21 points at about this point in the 2017 campaign.

On the day of the election, they had a 12 point lead.

We seem to have wandered away from the point. Will we accept the outcome of a general election or will the losing side and media block it, demanding a re run ?
