Caroline Street probably used to be infamous rather than famous. Long time ago it was full of pawnbrokers, Spielers, dirty book shops, pimps and knocking shops.
There were two chip shops, but you wouldn't want to eat there cause they were filthy. They were open pretty much all night so they'd get pissed up football fans from the valleys or somewhere a long way away who knew no better. Many got robbed or stabbed in the process actually.
