Heard he was running a sweep on which self pitying cause would be the subject of the next Gareth Thomas BBC Documentary.
Apparently put money on England to win the WC
Short price, but All Blacks will piss it.
Being in such a privileged position and, allegedly, doing something like this could suggest he has an addiction, or is a dangerous mixture of arrogant and stupid, or just made a really dumb mistake. The story only gets bigger (no pun intended) when Wales return home so I expect journalists to play the long game and respect boundaries for now.

The WRU statement said: "Rob Howley has returned to Wales to assist with an investigation in relation to a potential breach of World Rugby Regulation 6, specifically betting on rugby union.
"The decision was taken to act immediately in light of recent information passed to the WRU. No further details can be provided at this stage as this would prejudice the investigation.
"If required an independent panel will be appointed to hear the case. Rob has co-operated fully with our initial discussions.
"Warren Gatland has consulted with senior players and Stephen Jones will be arriving in Japan imminently to link up with the squad as attack coach."
Howley has not been found guilty (yet) of breaching the regulations - but sending him home like that implies he is.
It will probably damage Wales' chances in the RWC. Splitting up the 'Band Of Brothers' coaching team must be very disruptive, but just maybe there is a silver lining with Stephen Jones stepping in to replace him. Jones doesn't have the experience or inside knowledge and continuity, but he is fresh and has done pretty well so far after finishing playing - and he gets to work with and learn from Gatland (as a coach) before taking over permanently as backs coach next year.
Well known fact in rugby circles that Howley luvs a punt.Unlike football and despite the press trying to make this a crisis Steven Jones taking over for the world cup will make little or no difference as the blueprint for the national side starts with the regional academies and all the coaches are kept within the loop.Nothing will be changed for this tournament.
Hopefully Howley will end up working in Asda and Russia will win the WC.

Placed over 350 bets over nearly 4 years - some on Wales or Wales players. 18 month ban, half suspended - so to June 2020.
Came clean. No one else involved. Lost over £4k on those bets.
Idiot.
He'll most probably get a Paddy Power advert deal out of it.
He was a coach wasn’t he? Surely they can influence games, Neil Warnock may have a won a fortune betting on first throw in, “Just launch it into touch from the kick off lads”, may have had a few bob on Madine not scoring for twenty odd games, a shilling or two on Tomlin not completing 90 minutes, we’ll never know.
Not really, these guys know the score when it comes to betting.
My mates mum was club secretary at Swansea for years (until earlier this year) and even he was not able to bet on ANY football games... look at how far removed he was.
Howley was on the coaching side for the national rugby team, *350 bets over nearly 4 years and only an 18 month suspended sentence?! Bloody joke, same as it's a bloody joke that no one in this country served anytime for the massive financial crash in 2008. If you are a name or you have money you get away with it!
Did I hear correctly that it started, or what has been identified, started after his sister's ill health? A very, very unfortunate end to a long and storied Wales career as a player and coach.
