The virus can kill; the virus can be responsible for secondary infections that kill; the virus can make other conditions lethal where otherwise the person would not be dead. All this stuff about people dying of the virus or with the virus is just semantics - the additional deaths that come with Covid 19 are due to Covid 19 - pure or impure - and that is the whole story!
Pleased to see that the government has finally woken up today to the fact that the supply of millions of doses of any would-be vaccine requires work to start on a suitable manufacturing facility asap. I pointed this out on the CCMB quite a while ago now (well in comparison to the timescale of this pandemic it seemed a while ago!). Wearing my industrial pharmacist hat, I can say that the setting up of a Nightingale hospital is like putting up a tent in comparison to building such a pharmaceutical facility!

So do 62 countries, China has now overseen the origins of dreadful viruses that has killed millions from the spread of Avian Flu via Geese , SARS from small mammals , bats to humans , now Covid , if this was the USA there would be uproar and call for a war crimes commission.
