Following on from elwood blues comments , here it is
For 1967 , thats about as violent as it gets as was the rest of the movie
And Faye Dunaway was such a beautiful woman in this film
she was beautiful in all of her films
I've seen the car. It's in a casino in Nevada. Over 100 holes.
Lot more than 100 holes I'd say.
Truth is that they were just ambushed. I've always found it an interesting case
Apparently there were only 169 bullet holes. Must have missed with an awful lot considering the rate of fire and weapons used.
If I remember someone got shot in the face in the film too and it again very graphic for a film such a long time ago
There is a program on Netflix called The Highwaymen. Looks at the Bonnie and Clyde story from the point of view of the two Texas rangers who tracked them down and shot them.
The final shootout from that is on YouTube as well
I was about to recommend 'The Highwaymen', but Elwood beat me to it. It's well worth watching, and pretty authentic (as far as we know). Costner and Harrelson are both excellent. It's also worth looking up Frank Hamer (Costner's character) if you get the chance. Someone who led a very violent life, but usually on the right side of the law.
Always reminds me of this:-----
As recommended above, I thought the Highwaymen was good.
