I think there are quite a few things at play at the moment Sludge:

One, we are on our worst run since 1993.
Two, most fans could accept a bad run IF they saw some kind of progress on the pitch.
Three, I think we are all sick of 'pinning the tail on the donkey' and most fans don't just want a change of manager but a change of approach to football and football development at the club
Four, seeing us as one of of the least attractive footballing sides in the league is embarrassing, cumulating in the defeat to Swansea - that was a lightbulb moment for many
