We weren't very good, were we.
We were battered but dear God the refereeing was appalling. The second goal should not have stood, the Wilson red card was an embarrassment and two of their goals looked offside.
Does Harry Wilson start a Premier League game next year? It's a "no" for me.
Well that was awful.
Glad I cancelled now.
We were bad but the ref was worse.
Kiefer Moore is ineffective if he can’t jump.
So the yellow screwed us.
We travelled over 5000 miles compared to the Danes 300.
That couldn’t have helped.
Ridiculous set up for tournament.
Regardless of some of the ref's decisions, let's face it Denmark were by far the better side on the day. A soft second goal virtually sealed their win at the start of the second half.
Denmark were very good and I fancy them to reach the semis. I think England will get the better of them though.
We won't ever know. I think it should be ruled out if ref's the same way as Moore's yellow, Rodon's yellow and Wilson's red. 1 goal difference means they can't sit back and we don't go gung no which is why teams were so separated in the end.
Allen was my MotM by the way.
When we look back on the tournament we should probably focus on the Switzerland game. We lost to Italy who are top 10, lost to Denmark who are 11th and beat Turkey who are (Fifa rankings) worse than us but we got a very credible draw against Switzerland who are meant to be better than us by 4/5 places. That's our progress, and qualifying out of group success, from this tournament.
Stick with the team. Not everything will be smooth but we got a big prize to play for over next 9 months or so.
Did Schmeichel make a save in the second half?
Overall I think its been a bit disappointing, good to get through the group but based on ranking and what we have done last 5 years or so it was never beyond us. Then we were just owned today.
They can still produce moments but the years have certainly caught up with Bale, Ramsey and Allen. No shame in that but I fear that it may take some time to get back to this sort of level again, so many of the younger players in the set up just don't seem to have kicked on for a few years.
Why wasn't Wilson red card over ruled by var?
I know they don't like overruling things but it was never a red
Now that Wales are out, i'll be cheering on those teams that have not had any home advantage. Hope one of those wins the tournament. Absolutely appalling that some teams have stayed at home, others have barely traveled (hello Denmark!) yet others (hello Wales) have had in effect 4 away games.
Anyone but England now. It sucks, because now I have to support all the "big" teams.
