Yup, and it's going to take something huge to change that culture. I have always tried to speak to my kids about anything that may be bothering them, listen, try not to bring it back to me or what i would've done (The worst thing you can do in my opinion) Although now my son is 22, i have sort of lost that interaction with him. Maybe he doesn't need me as much emotionally at this point in his life, although we can go days without speaking and we live in the same house! It's not good, is it?
