Didn't Mick manage them? Or some other Cypriot team?
Cypriot football seems a bit stronger than it was, but it still seems strange (lifestyle aside) that he was ever manager. He successfully managed Celtic until 2021, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Omonia are taking the p*ss.

Depends what you define a "big club" as, sure they are successful but their popularity is confined to Scotland. One of the biggest clubs in world football don't lose their manager to Leicester mid-way through an historic season.
Also your second article doesn't suggest they have a global fanbase, it's pointing out how popular they are in Scotland. Their social media following would indicate a global fanbase, they have a smaller audience than Crystal Palace
I’m gutted he’s gone, was looking forward to an easy 3 points off Omonia tomorrow.
Paphos are doing well since the Russian owner started throwing money at the club. Henning Berg is manager and he’s got Michel Salgado in as strategic advisor. Sitting at the top of the league at the moment so happy days. 😎
Don’t know what I was worried about, 3 nil Paphos. That Adam Matthews ain’t the player he used to be. No wonder he’s playing in Cyprus.
