It's all academic now, so let's stick to the facts. I said if we played with Allen or Morrell in midfield we would get done, and it came to pass.

    Totally agree.

Got done by Ben Davies getting pressed at fullback a too slow to get the ball out of his feet. God help if he had been in midfield.

If that’s outstanding I may still have chance to play for Wales and I’m 42 with no legs that work properly.

    Re: FT: WALES 0 - 3 ENGLAND / USA 1 - 0 IRAN

Page said we were magnificent in the first half

I don't think we did anything at all , knackered ourselves out , didn't stretch England and it could have been a goal festival

You were retrospective on your view of Davies playing in midfield and the outcome in a previous post, why not now?

Two normal ones and a middle leg but it’s more like a middle little finger.

To give the BBC credit I think they've given Cymru decent airtime throughout the whole tournament.

Lineker is on plenty of money but he's a working class anti tory so I think he's a decent enough bloke

That's where you are wrong, Neco at left back would have beaten the press while having Davies as cover.

    PMSL

Nico was having a mare before he went off.
    Rashford was running him ragged.

We should have played him at left back innit, where he is more of an attacking threat for us. This was all factored into the tactics with Davies playing a few yards further forward next to Ampadu.

    Re: FT: WALES 0 - 3 ENGLAND / USA 1 - 0 IRAN

Apart from 20 minutes in the USA game that was 3 games of ineffective or lose passing, poor decision making, frequent defensive errors and poor form.

I can't recall a single occurrence in the 3 games when a player ran at the opposition and then played an intelligent pass.

We had 6’ 5” centre forward who can hold up the ball but didn’t utilize him with long balls, especially when we kept losing possession when carrying the ball from defence.

I’m not angry that we have gone out, just disappointed in the manner of it

Attacking threat when we couldn’t even get the ball
off England. That’s a good one that.

    Was Ampadu playing tonight then?

In fairness, we've had 2½ games of not having the ball to be able to have an attacking threat. It's been consistent.
