This is not good. Drameh, keen to impress on his Luton debut no doubt, up against the hapless Simpson. A grim prospect.

Doughty is also in the Luton line-up. Didn't think much of him when he was here last season to be honest.

Doughty has played well for Luton, by all accounts. He was good against Forest and Barnsley until he got snapped by an awful tackle.

Don't remember much from Doughty other than him being fast

He would fly into this team easily. Those two as wing backs offer a lot or direct running which NG and especially Simpson won’t like.

very concerned for this line up... they will attack our weakness, etete should start, saying that we dont have anyone who can whip a whitts type ball into him to stick his head on, etete is a very good player, made to look poor in a very poor team

who would be a new incoming manager with no incoming players, mind boggling, surely a new manager in a relaegation type situation should recall all loan players and weigh up his options...

surely tanner who is at york can cover left back or at least support that side as hes left footed

    Who out on loan?
Tanner at left back? We have Simpson and Bagan light years ahead of him. He can hardly run longer than 20 minutes.

Sawyer seems be very deep but Wintle getting forward quickly.

    Started alright I think.

Looks a bit more direct than we've seen before with this team too.

Our keeper booting it the length of the field out of hand isn't seen too often.

Yeah he seems not to want to take a touch.

Definitely more direct and getting the ball forward quicker. Also, we look more inclined to take a shot rather than play around the box

Was going to mention the shooting. Notably Ojo.
    Bet TIT is purring.

We're conceding possession too easily- Ojo in particular. Luton seem to be getting crosses in with ease.

we can't keep the ball and look completely lacking in confidence

Sawyers is completely finished at this level

Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Shame Drameh's not still with us. Wonderful player at this level

Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

The attempt to get the ball forward quicker seems to be creating a bit more panic when we keep the ball than our usual pedestrian pace of attacks but still need to look after the ball a bit more.

Luton seem to get crosses over at will.
Having said that Simpson is doing better than I thought against Drameh who looks to hit the early ball more often than not.

I'd take this score at full time without doubt.
Have a funny feeling we could maybe nick all 3 though with a bit more composure.

Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Thought Simpsons had done ok considering he’s up against Dramah.

I don’t really get why Sawyers is playing deep and Wintle so far forward. Doesn’t work.

Great opportunity to get a good cross in from a corner in the dying moments of the first half and Wintle sends in a daisy cutter. Resulting in a Ralls booking.
