People can draw their own conclusions, but it's looking like no Champions League for AC Milan next season due to a shortage of weaknesses

Sorry, but every time I read your posts about him I ignore you simply because you will not enter into any debate about him, but will deflect and ignore as you see fit. No matter what anyone says about Ampadu, you have a ready made response, which is usually bollocks.

Hilarious, coming from someone who describes a world class goal as "teams lumping it forward". To be honest, I find some of the pissed-up bollocks you post on here boring, so I look forward to never hearing from you again!

He's been linked with Fiorentina, would like to see him move on this summer as he's unlikely to get many opportunities at Chelsea

Finally, something to work with! Italian football might suit his style of play, it's slower than The Premier League from what i have seen, especially in the final thirds, and players are afforded more time on the ball. Ampadu almost plays a specialist roll, which means that a team has to accommodate him, allow him to drop off, work the spaces between the midfield and defence, he's the 2nd defender in a defensive pairing, decent in possession, decent with time and space. Struggles (in my opinion) when the game is compressed or when the opposition play a high line, he can be guilty of ball watching and losing concentration. A good player in possession, suspect when not.

I agree with that generally, what I would say though is that he has improved a lot of the weaker aspects of his game and I shudder to think how much worse we would have been at the World Cup without him in midfield

On paper he's had one hell of a career so far, 22 and almost 100 appearances in various top flights, a World Cup & Euros campaign and he'll likely hit 50 international caps before the age of 24. I really rate him, not as highly as some contributors, but it would surprise me if he doesn't end up at a good club

He is a good player, and his ability should see him play at a very high level with some success. I also admire him for trying different cultures and European leagues, says something of his character, and he did alright in the world cup, could argue that he came away from it with some credit. One thing that does concern me about his play is that he is one paced at times, when you want to see that second or two of urgency it doesn't seem to materialise, and that could be a telling factor in his development, in fact, i think that it has already, because he can struggle in those moments when he needs to speed his brain up, but like you say, he has improved and matured in that sense, although that's the player he is, and that's why i think that he needs to be accommodated in that sense. He's quite unique, upright, stays on his feet, although not the most mobile responsive-A poor mans Ricky Scimeca....

Interestingly, England's coaches thought Ampadu wouldn't make it as a pro because he took too few touches. That is one of the most bonkers reasonings I've heard about why a player won't make it.

I watched the Italian cup final this evening. It would be a good move for both club and player if this story has any legs. Fiorentina are great going forward, but they have a few problems in the areas where Ampadu has been very good this season. I can't see him sticking around at Chelsea as they are having a massive clear-out, and a fresh start would probably be in his best interests anyway.

They're in the Conference League final too, certainly a step up from the likes of Spezia & Venezia. It would be a natural move away upwards if he went there

People forget that he's still only 22 with 100 appearances in Europe's big 5 leagues and over 40 international caps for a good European side (which Wales are these days). He's still got plenty of time to develop as well given his age and position

Amarabat certain to leave Fiorentina so possibly a replacement.

Thought they were a bit unlucky last night. Inter had a clinical spell in the last 15 mins of the first half but the Viola were the better team for the majority of the game. If Jovic could hit a barn door they should have at least pushed that into extra time.

It would also be another fantastic move as far as the scenery is concerned. What a jammy b@stard he is
