Wrexham FC's first summer signing has an air of the high life after it announced the world's biggest airline as its new shirt sponsor.

Good luck to Wrexham but things may feel rather flat once the novelty factor subsides.
I wonder by which metric United airlines are considered the world's biggest airline? it seems a strange thing to put in the article, as it's not a direct quote or anything, the article just states that, it's probably rehashed from a press release that included that statement.
fwiw they're probably a smaller company than their previous sponsor
Take your pick. No metric puts United first.

Indeed. However, their income in 2022 is quoted at $29 billion compared to Tik Tok's $9 billion and they apparently have 93,000 employees compared to Tik Tok's 9,000. So I'd say they are definitely a bigger company than Wrexham's previous shirt sponsor.
More importantly, I'd be willing to bet they're paying the club more money.
I read somewhere today that they’re calling the colour of the shirt ‘dragon wing red’ …

They really do seem to have things sorted. It’s logical that people want to be involved with something that has a feel good factor, particularly a very savvy and shrewd feel good factor. Lots to be learnt from their owners approach, light hearted and sometimes knock a bout on the surface but, no doubt, below the surface extremely business like. Some other clubs could learn from their system that seems to have others asking to get involved rather than running a closed shop or having to beg when outside help is needed.
Ben Foster has signed a new deal with them as well. Going to be interesting to see what fuss Sky make of them. Up until now they have been on BT Sports but I wonder if we will see more League 2 games televised now Wrexham are part of the EFL
How long before everyone turns against them in true British style?
