    Sign them all

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023

10 goals over the last 2 seasons in Belgium and Ligue 2 for Ugbo… you can argue goals aren’t everything and we shouldn’t judge before he’s played in our system, but I’d suggest it’s not overly promising for the kinds of players we will be looking into signing this summer with the embargo still in place. Certainly not the kind of exciting signing that sells thousands of season tickets that was teased.

Taylor on the other hand is a Deep Lying Playmaker. The same scout notes that he possesses good endurance and the potential to improve a lot in the future.

I wouldn't usually accommodate having two playmakers in one side but Taylor has the benefit of being left-footed so I will sign them both and see how we get on. Taylor will be the eventual replacement for Joe Ralls. And I've always liked Levitt from the few real-life games I have seen of him, we haven't got anyone with that range of passing though he does go missing sometimes. Plus they're both Welsh of course.
Don't disagree with your assessment other than I'm not sure Taylor is left footed. His highlight reels show him taking all his set pieces (which he is very good at) right footed.

He'd have to be a step up on Rinhomota or Sawyers. Although, I'm not sure we can sign him as compensation (a transfer fee) being due. He's under 24, but someone on this forum has suggested that as he wasn't 'produced' by Burton compensation wouldn't be due. Nevertheless there is an article from yesterday which suggests Plymouth have made an offer, which has been rejected, which contradicts the last point.

Our neighbours to the west have supposedly won the race to sign Ellis Simms permanently. Must be costing them quite a bit as he's been linked to other clubs for £4-7m.

Confirmation that there is another form of compensation which applies to players twenty four or under from lower divisions who turn down a contract offer from their parent club

Seems fair enough to me, but it's a blow to City because that was a market I was hoping we could exploit.

I know I'm not being fair, but two goals in twenty four games in Ligue 2 last season doesn't look great - would he be any better than Etete who was showing definite signs of progress towards the end of last season?

Glen Williams saying on twitter there's another signing "not too far away" that hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet.

    It's all kicking off now!

I’m with you Paul. Firstly we need quality replacements for Kaba, Philogene & Kipre, Whyte & now Harris. I wait in hope.

He looks waaaay too good for the Championship let alone us so I'm telling myself not to get my hopes up for this dribbling king.

Blimey - there's a few videos of him and in all of them he's playing at a decent level. I wish it wasn't you who posted this message though because now I'm thinking we're going to sign him
