Bloody ridiculous IMO
What happened to the freedoms of Scotland from Blue faced warriors to weak control freaks .
She has got a very odd understanding of ‘off white’. But she seems to be enjoying the regular publicity.
Council say it won't act unless there's a complaint.
So...
Who is complaining?
She should complain about all the other doors.
Anyone wearing stupid boots like that needs shooting
People are strange. Back when I was married, I used to live in a conservation area, and any changes to the houses had to go to Council planning. We were trying to do various things to the house, all of which were out of sight (inside, or around the back), but the plans kept getting rejected because someone in the street objected. One day, I was talking to the guy next door about all the problems we were having, and he just came out and admitted he was the objector! We'd always got on really well, so why he didn't knock the door, and ask to see the plans or something, I have no idea. In the end, I showed him what we were doing, and he withdrew his objection. Like I said, people are strange.
Still, I can't see the problem with the pale pink door. I don't know if anyone saw the photos showing the colours of her neighbours' doors, but they were far worse than that, in my opinion.
....bunch of middle-aged, sweaty, overweight football fans on soccer messsageboard say mean things about a woman in scotland who some other fecker snitched about having a stupid colour door.
Yes - Yellow, Green, Red and Blue are classes as Victorian colours - pink (dark or light ) isnt.
It used to be the same in the victorian conservation areas of Cardiff. Same as you cant install Velux type windows in the front of the house, or have a tv aerial anywhere than on the roof - same goes for satellite boxes etc. Only sash windows not upvc or standard opening windows. It's a conservation area for a reason - to maintain the vista of the place. She would have been aware of that when she bought the house.
Those are the rules (I didnt make them )
