Loan move
Interesting one. Could be good for him.
Did Tan manage to sell Kortrijk in the end or not?
Good luck Isaak lad. Not given much of a chance by the new manager, up to him to go an prove him wrong now.
Good experience for him. Different country/culture, could be the making of him.
A fantastic player from the little I’ve seen of him
Hope comes back an even better player and a great opportunity

Kortrijk have announced the signing of Welsh striker Isaak Davies on a season long loan. The 21-year-old Cardiff City striker will certainly have a chance to get some minutes as a central striker under his belt as he joins a side that is thin on strikers. The move also gives Davies the chance to return to Cardiff in the final year of his contract with more experience as he looks to earn a longer term deal with the Welsh side.
Having come through the youth set up at Cardiff, Davies made his first team debut in the 2021/2022 season. In 43 games for the side, he has scored five goals and provided three assists. The 21-year-old can operate as a striker, a second striker or out wide, bringing flexibility to Kortrijk’s attack.
Both sides have a close relationship, with Vincent Tan being their owners. Tan has been trying to sell Kortrijk this summer, but a potential takeover by the Kaminski Group dramatically fell apart as it was revealed that the investors did not have the money they claimed to have. Despite a press conference announcing the change of ownership, Tan remains in place at Kortrijk.
He needs a big season now. I hoped Colwill would get a good loan as well.
The Club, surely, must have an option to extend his contract. Otherwise this is a strange move.
Potentially a great move for him that. Sorry to see it happen though really
I think it's a really good move for him.
Despite the considerable optimism, I do think this season will be one of regrouping and consolidation. The need (choice) to completely change the squad from Warnockball players was always going to take time. Especially given the transfer ban and Tan's (apparent) temporary sulk.
If Isaak has a full season and scores 15+ goals he'll come back like a new signing.
