some of you must have got some fun things, thinking Goats some interesting Star Wars lego maybe
My list
A woody pizza oven ( for the mancave ) Not sure on this gift to be honest, but we shall see,
3 pairs of trainers / sneakers ( ive gone down a bit of a rabbit hole with them this year ) , we must have other sneaker-heads who will appreciate these
Blue and Red Adidas Spezial -- I have collection of adidas trainers from many years ago ( remember Jeepers and Ernies trim trabbs on here ) watching stockX it looks like they are coming back in a big way -- https://www.adidas.co.uk/handball-sp...es/FX5675.html
Nike Blue Raspberry Dunks ( mrs thought they were City Colours )--- https://stockx.com/en-gb/nike-sb-dun...blue-raspberry.
Nike Travis Scott , Cactus Jacks ( ive had my eye on them for a few months, but couldnt justify the cost ) -- https://stockx.com/en-gb/nike-sb-dun...tt-special-box
thats about it well happy with the Cactus Jacks
So what you get, anything fun or interesting ? ? ?
Christmas is for the children. When did it become an excuse to lavish gifts on each other? If I want trainers I'll buy my own.
You obviously didn't get a book on the right time to use apostrophes.
I got a ‘Mr. Cardiff’ mug to add to my growing collection.
Happy bunch on here
I have become a big fan of the Vans Ultra range in recent years.
Good all rounder that I can wear down the pub or walking the dogs - https://www.vans.co.uk/shop/en-gb/va...es-vn000bcebxv
so to answer the question got a pair of these from my mother, and everyone else in my life we have a no present reciprocity pact, which does make the holidays a lot easier.
Sonik SKS Black 14 foot beachcaster
Boring I know sorry, but Doris and I agreed quite a few years ago, no presents or cards between us, it's just pointless, we buy what we need when we need it. I have my eye on a couple of things I want, monitor and docking station, but will wait a few weeks or so to get them. (and not because of the scam sales)
I got a whetstone type thing for sharpening my Japanese kitchen knives and a cast iron cooking pot (didn’t want to say I got a Dutch Oven, for Christmas).
We are pretty much the same. The only gift I opened was a secret santa. If I need anything I get it as I go along. My mum did give me some money to get a bottle of after shave because I couldn't decide which one I wanted. Mrs M might get herself a treat under the guise of a present. But it's something she chooses and gets so it's the right thing.
Ah, right.
I only ever used a multiplier once (it was loaned to me for the day, by the company manager I was working for).
I had previously used a fixed-spool and when he asked me if I knew how to use a multiplier, I just nodded my head (well, what could go wrong, eh?).
First cast.... the mother of all birds nests!
Never used one since.
I have everything I need in life......so a boxful of stimulating books is my usual present...pre-read (ie used...) and chosen by me...That's all I need....
Yes Matt the Star Wars Lego collection has been updated, some good deals on very which I was too weak to refuse….Yavin 4 rebel base down to £80 from £140….got the ghost too, not sure whether to build it or put it in the attic and wait for it to triple in price like so many other sets….

Apart from the Lego side hobby it was boring stuff like boss aftershave and vans socks….I got way too many pairs of vans and about 25 adidas (5 brand new still in boxes for 5 yrs) so there is no way the wife will buy me anymore
Got the obligatory book but one I’m looking forward too, “riding so high” the Beatles and drugs…
We dont spend much on each other these days, it all goes to the kids….and on food!
