And how does our league position compare ?
The information is out there on other sites but what do you think ?
No cheating
What just this season or ever?
A lot but less than others
Not what we imagined
Hope this vague answer works for the vague question
Of the current squad I think Ng, Tanner, Robinson and Etete cost money and that was about £2.5m between the 3 of them
I imagine that would put us at the lower end for transfer fees
We havnt spent anything on actual transfer fees even though we brought in 12 new players
It would have been around 500k on contracts , admin , relocating , houses etc
Bulut considering we are the 4th lowest in terms of outlay and 9th on league position........has earned his coin already
He's responsible for getting us just 3 points off the play offs and with a huge buffer zone from the relegation places
The good and not good is put in a pot , cooked and this is what we have .....
You can't go through life nit picking
If you come home from a hard day's work or from watching city with junior stat man and your missus makes a decent tikka masala , good rice, some lovely chilli dips , garlic mushrooms and bombay duck ......but the nan bread is soggy ......do you ignore the 90 percent of a great meal she cooked ......and move back in with your piss artist mates ?
You've completely lost me here. Bizarre analogy.
Is this a fair analysis?
We nearly win at Leeds on the opening day. In honesty, we were lucky to still be in front for as long as we were, but we were gutted at just drawing there. Totally unexpected, we could have won. We could also have drawn at Leicester. Then, apart from tossing away a 2 goal lead at Ipswich, we win 4 on the trot in the league and are playing good football. We have a little wobble, then thrash Huddersfield and deservedly beat Bristol City. We're 5th, on merit, playing good stuff.
Since then, we're 17th in the form table. Only Stoke have scored less than us. We've won 4 and all of them have been ugly wins. No great performances of earlier in the season. Our 4 wins have been against sides in the bottom half, 2 in the relegation places. Preston have been in worse form than us. Millwall's keeper dropped one into his own net.
You have reguarly said our performances have been rubbish.
Let's be honest. The only reason we're in the top half was the great start we made to the season. On current form we're not likely to finish top half and I don't think there'll be much appetite to spend much in January.
If you were going to predict what might happen for the rest of the season you're hardly going to look at the first two months of the season as the best indicator, are you?
You like stats
Our current form would get us into the play offs
You can't pick and choose what you want to make you think you are right
There are 46 games in a season and so far on the first day of January .....we are 9th
That's one win from the top six
You can't have everything
Your wife can't cook the perfect meal
It's simple
On current form, 7 points from the 4 Christmas games, we’re doing pretty good. On average would have us with around 80 points over the season. Obviously things don’t work like that but, regardless of who we’ve played, you can’t really knock current form. (Points wise, performance wise, not so much but the points return doesn’t lie).
Maybe we will find that form again? It happens in this league to all but those who get promoted. Last season swansea started well, plummeted then boomed again, Bristol city this year are similar, it’s the way it is…..how do we we fair in the wages league? Have we overpaid in getting freebies or not?
Sludge you make a good point, we are joint 2nd in the league (TRANSFER EXPENDITURES V LEAGUE POSITION) with Ipswich, WBA are top, Bulut has done a fantastic job and now needs backing. This massive improvement after losing Kaba's goals, which pretty much kept us up.

Wouldn't you have to do this over a couple of seasons to get a fairer view?
Or include the wage bill.
Leicester sold £106 million pounds worth of players , we arent really looking at the whole menu with this comparison.
