Things rarely happen quickly in January. Lot of posturing and hanging around for other deals to set the dominoes off.
May as well make it a week or fortnight long window and hurry everyone along.
Agreed very difficult for Managers and clubs as they can plan as much as they like, if the other club fails to get their player, then the whole chain breaks down, a bit like a house property chain.
We won't get every player we want and it won't all be Erol or Dalman's fault.
Following the success pf Goutas and Siopis, I think other clubs are starting to use Erol as a Turkish/Greek scout and seeing who he is after and then weighing up whether to jump in and try and steal the player, probably agents are doing the same.
Looking at the BBC site there has been limited activity across all divisions and as someone said in an earlier post it is sometimes a domino effect when we are chasing a player the parent club needs to sort out replacements etc and I suspect agents make it messy as well
Ugbo has gone

Was hoping we’d get Moore in before Leeds, going to be a struggle getting our usual 3 points without a decent striker…..thoughts brooks was nailed on too according to some….
I doubt if Ugbo would have been allowed to leave if the club weren't confident of signing a replacement. Therefore it would come as a surprise if a forward wasn't incoming pretty soon.
The fact we gave accrued a decent haul of points so far has taken the pressure off the club somewhat, notwithstanding an unlikely push for a play-off place.
Two signings close says Bulut.
