Not having watched much snooker for at least a couple of decades I thought I'd give it a go tonight.
I couldn't believe the amount of mistakes by both players, especially Carter.
We all know the Rocket is arguably the best player ever but even after he drew level at 6 all, he gave Carter so many chances but he squandered them.
Also it seemed like some of the crowd had just come from watching darts such was the noise. Some must have been ejected.
RO'S 9-7 up needing just the one frame.

The game has changed alot in 2 decades. Players make mistakes these days by going for pots they would even have considered going for previously. Ronnie's front-foot tactics in trying to win frames in a single visit, put pressure on Ali Carter forcing the mistakes.

Yes and no. Carter had chances. He'll know he blew his chance. It'll hurt him.

No love lost between O Sullivan and Carter. Ronnies usually complimentary of his opponent, especially when he beats them in finals, but he was quite disparaging towards Carter I thought last night.

I think the crowd got to Carter in the final session frames. His confidence just drained away & Ronnie ran away with the game in the end.
