Giggs done well
Just don’t think he should manage another football club

Ryan Giggs has returned to the game as director of football at Salford – a post it is understood he has held for much of the season.
The former Manchester United player is one of the League Two club’s co-owners, with 27 March marking the 10th anniversary of the Class of 92’s high-profile takeover.
It is Giggs’s first job back in football since he stood down as the Wales manager in June 2022 in the run-up to the World Cup in Qatar owing to a then-upcoming trial. Giggs was formally found not guilty of domestic abuse allegations last July when charges were dropped after his former partner declined to give evidence. A source close to him said at the time that he had “unfinished business in the game”.
Salford have not formally announced Giggs’s role, with the first mention of his new title coming in last month’s confirmation of Alex Bruce as part of the manager Karl Robinson’s coaching set-up.
Salford are 20th in League Two, eights points above the relegation zone. Giggs, Nicky Butt, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and David Beckham each own 10% of the club, with the Singaporean businessman Peter Lim holding the other 40%.
Salford announced at the end of February that they had launched “a process to explore new strategic partners for the club to support its ambitious growth targets”.
