Bulut takes a swipe at Page and Ramsey considers retiring from International football

Isn't it the case that since early September he has only played a grand total of less than 90 minutes for City?

Retiring from international football when he can't even play at club level would hardly be a surprise.

He may not have wanted Ramsey to take a penalty after this happened at his time at Rangers , where he was also rarely seen.

The Welsh midfielder, one of Rangers' big names, was the only player to miss in the penalty shootout, allowing Eintracht Frankfurt to become Europa League champions. Just as his goals have had famous victims over the years, Ramsey's miss on the night proved fatal for Rangers' hopes of European silverware

    Page messed up.

If he didn't think Ramsey was fit enough to play any part of the last 2 games, don't pick him (he can still be with the team as the captain), and instead pick Colwill.

To pick him in the squad and not play him while other players were dead on their feet and with penalties coming up, was in my opinion, a huge mistake.

But let's be honest, Page has a litany of mistakes over the last few years.

    On Tuesday alone...
    - Poland are pretty slow at the back but have some experienced big centrebacks... starting Moore was a mistake, we were best on Tuesday when we bypassed Moore and played in our quick players, making Moore almost redundant - so why o why didn't he start with a more mobile and pacey person instead of Moore
    - Moore was becoming more ineffective as the game went on.. should have subbed him.
    - Johnson, one of our quickest players was always dangerous and still causing problems for a tiring and slow Poland defence, should have stayed on.
    - James was causing problems with his pace and starting to go past their slowing defence at ease but Roberts went off, James was shoved to right-back where he became ineffective as a attacking force, when we needed a goal.. we had full-backs on the bench and Neco who is very adequate at right-back..
    - he made appalling subs - some players were running on fumes in extra time

Doesn't matter if we are in 'transition' when you have a manager making really basic mistakes like this.

Yep, agree with all of this and it’s not hindsight either, we were saying the same during the game

Exactly our thoughts on the night. Pound shop Pep, he seemed to assume it was going to be a physical battle, there’d have been no need for physicality had he gone for pace. The Polish defence would have been grasping thin air. Page thinks he’s tactically bright, he’s anything but.

Good post. The subs and management on the night were atrocious. Poland was there for the taking. Had a double disappointment as Greece went out on penalties too. I don't even follow international football like I used to but it was all a bit miserable.
