Putting aside your dislike of the West , USA and UK ,who are all have "" oil hunger" agenda' s , oh and Russia hence their presence over the years in that region , do you not see any nastiness in the world of Iran /persia , and its deep history of suppressive religion ,internal persecution ,lack of respect to woman and wanting to back proxy wars, or beat up its neighbours , sorry its not just about the alledged evil axis of the West and its agenda ,they have one of thier own in that region , and fought many wars that don't include the USA.

Think they have had more wars with Russia ,Kurds, Iraq ,Turkey than with USA, seem a very unsettled devisve bunch.

its deep history of suppressive religion - In comparison to the christian west Iran's history of religious strife is powder puff. What history are you talking of?.

internal persecution - No doubt Bahai's etc have been treated dreadfully. But again, in comparison to the west Iran has historically been a safe haven for religious minorities. Christians are treated like compelte dirt in Egypt and other countries. Only the US is and ally of those so no one cares.

lack of respect to woman - Again, since 1979.

wanting to back proxy wars - Being the doormat of America and the West for so long they are fully within their rights to be more aggressive in the region. American and west made the middle east in to a complete cesspit for a reason. If you play silly games, win silly prizes. Iran are just being dragged down to their level. You actually say this as a criticism of Iran, when America has been involved in more proxy wars than any country on the planet!.

or beat up its neighbours - What?.

and fought many wars that don't include the USA - Please list me the wars Iran has started.

I am no fan of the religious big whigs in Iran, the regime is abhorrent. But being fair they aren't the devil people suggest. America are just hopeful to turn them into another destroyed country they can play with.

    Enjoy this quote

“Some European countries insist on saying that during World War II, Hitler burned millions of Jews and put them in concentration camps. Any historian, commentator or scientist who doubts that is taken to prison or gets condemned. Although we don't accept this claim, if we suppose it is true... If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe – like in Germany, Austria or other countries – to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe. You offer part of Europe and we will support it."[6]

On 11 December 2006, at the International Conference to Review the Global Vision of the Holocaust," a gathering of Holocaust deniers in Tehran, Ahmadinejad said: "Thanks to people's wishes and God's will the trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is [headed] downwards and this is what God has promised and what all nations want. The Zionist regime will be wiped out soon the same way the Soviet Union was, and humanity will achieve freedom."[13]

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned Ahmadinejad's remarks, as well as remarks by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, which he called "offensive and inflammatory statements." Ban said that the region's leaders should "use their voices at this time to lower, rather than to escalate, tensions."[24]
