It always makes me wonder how much tax the country has lost since the Government of the time caved into the gambling lobby and shelved the old 10% betting tax.

I think it's more likely that these companies can now make a fortune - basically TV advertising has made it appear that having a flutter on a sports event is now as much an element of watching sport as buying a ticket.
