Simon Cowell, Vin Diesel, Kanye West, John Travolta, Tom Cruise etc. - all pretending, as though being gay is somehow shameful.

The most bizarre thing is that not only is it common knowledge but it would make no difference to how these people are viewed. If anything they'd get more respect for being honest and showing the world that being gay is no big deal.

Obviously this only applies to men though, the last thing I want to find out is that some object of my youthful obsession was just teasing me all along and is actually a rug muncher - I'm looking at you Pammy.
I'm sorry to have to break this to you but Pam Ayres is definitely a tennis fan. Sorry mate.

    Is she not?

To be honest, I haven't seen or heard of her for a long time - she may even be dead for all I know.

I just remember seeing and hearing her on the telly as a kid and in my head she sounded like a farmer reading poetry.

Not dead at all , living the life and still touring . Unfortunately you have missed the Monmouth performance .
Now whilst I have no desire to smash a 70 year old ( yet) Pammy is looking pretty smart.
