I've never got the idea of waiting for everyone to receive their meal before eating in a restaurant.

I was told from young to do it. I don't think I've know one other friend that does the same.

Not so much in a restaurant but certainly at the dinner table.
Poor table manners gripe the hell out of me.
My 10 year old grand daughter got terrible table manners and I try to correct her when she stays at ours, but I'm fighting a losing battle because my son and his wife let her get away with it at home.
Very lazy parenting in my eyes.

I disagree because I know plenty of left handed people who eat with a folk in the left hand, myself and my wife included.
Besides, surely right handed people are more likely to eat with a folk in the right hand.
