The stat may be a fact but doesn’t address the fact that very few of our players ever take shots from outside the penalty area.

Around 3. Which is on the low side (only 3 clubs have lower) although Bournemouth in 6th average 4.5, so not exactly miles adrift.
Despite a low OT shots stat, we have the 2nd highest proportion of attempts on goal within the 6 yard box in the league. Joint 7th highest proportion of shots within the 18 yard box.

Interesting stats.
Had I known they existed I would have said in the original post ‘shots from outside the penalty area’
supports my view perhaps " We are trying , its about the quality, not the lack of tactics. "
