    Very sad. She had a troubled life, but was a genuine (film) icon - unlike many who grab the headlines.

    Obviously sad that she has passed, but I was intrigued to see her mother 'tweeting' about her condition.

    Debbie Reynolds was in 'Singing in the Rain' but is still here today on Twitter

    Know what you mean by that comment. I can only hope my mam doesn't take to social media if I'm about to 'pop my cloggs.'

    I liked Carrie Fisher, obviously grew up in a dysfunctional household, had her faults but seemed self deprecating and never lost her sense of humour.

    Looking like she only "survived" due to life support - She may have been brain dead before she was taken from the plane.
