Where most dogs are fine there are some who have a reactive nature...so this means you couldn't leave them in kennels or with a per sitter when you go away, even for one day. You also may have to became ful around loved ones due to the dog feeling threatened etc. They can be difficult to predict even with yourself and family at home and certain breeds alongside how they have been socialised and positive experiences contribute to this in the main. If your keeping them outside half the year, ensure they have had plenty of getting used to sleeping outdoors before you start putting them out. Ensure they won't snap at you or bite if you go near their toys and food etc (those sort of things you want to know pre rehoming where possible). We have had real placid dogs in the past but also some that have been a challenge but we've loved them all the same and worked hard to ensure they are trained well - I don't mean dancing or tricks - I just mean trained well to live alongside humans. All the above said - dogs are a such a wonderful pet to have and it's made our lives very happy! We couldn't live without them, that's for sure!
Have you had them done?.

I've had three dogs in my life and they've all been done, all calmed massively after it. From being lunatics before.

I'm asking because I spoke to someone recently who had a new dog. He didn't have a clue it was even a thing. The idea of it baffled him

+ Dogs are superior to all others as the above two posts say
