    Losing the champions league won't prove that Real Madrid have failed. If they win La Liga they have had a successful season. They're not gonna win the champions league every year, there are too many variables.

    Well, if you're going for a 4th in a row, then yeah sure the Champions League matters. They won't get another chance in a hurry to win 4 on the bounce.
