    Anyone too young to remember the Welsh rugby Golden Era of the seventies can get an idea of the sort of player greats like JPR, Gareth Edwards and Gerald Davies were because there are current and fairly recently retired players they can be compared to, but there’s no one like Barry John.

    Defenders would think they had him lined up and then he’d be through with the would be tackler having no clue as to how it happened. Barry John used to glide through gaps and I used to have no clue how he did it at the time, so there’s no way I can explain what happened now!
