    Vietnam war documentary

I know there was an earlier thread on this but what an immense series.

Has anyone seen up to episode 6? There's one scene in it if you've seen it which is truly blood chilling where a man in handcuffs presumably Viet Cong is shot in the head.

That's one of the classic images of the war

The Mai lai massacre by American troops was horrific and plays a big part in Oliver stones platoon , showing the yanks raping young girls , killing old men and setting fire to the village

The war weary American solider being interviewed whilst reloading his gun, explains how one of his mates had been killed a day or so earlier then returning fire over a wall was another 'what the ****' moment

It's real good mate. The era and that conflict in general has spawned so many films, books, songs this documentary just gets right under it's skin as it were. So well made. So well paced. It's bang on.
