It doesn't have to be hand ball on purpose does it
The hand stopped the ball hitting the target.

2 handballs. Dean gives them. Then changes his mind last minute.

    Burnley goal offside by yards.

This does feel like a wind up against warnock doesn't it. The media already laughing about his reaction and what he's going to say after the game.

All a big joke to them- its an entertainment business after all.

I don't think it started off like that but thats what it has become now. Like the WWE.

The co commentator keeps saying it but he's wrong.

I think your last sentence refers to the first incident. The penalty wasn't for that. That one was fair enough as his hand was down.

    Indeed it does.

    From the FA's website:

    Law 12: Fouls and Misconduct

A direct free kick is awarded if a player handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within their penalty area).

Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with the hand or arm. The following must be considered:

    1) the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand).
    2) the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball).
    3) the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an offence.

I haven't seen any of the incidents in today's game so can't comment on those, but the current rule is that handling the ball must be deliberate in order for it to be considered an offence. I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere recently that the rule is changing next season.
