What is the new and improved Ashton Gate like?

Not been since they have had all the work done.
The old stadium was a antiquated dump ( much like Ninian) but had its old school charm.
However , after all the fanfare does their version of a modern stadium match up to ours?
Have to admit I quite like that they have separate stands as opposed to the standard bowl but does it work in reality.

    I think it's a really good ground.

Big enough to deal with success and small enough to feel fullish with 20k in there.

Away end is great, but the facilities under the stand are awful. They made up for it by putting a 'village' of bars and food outlets outside it.
Shame you couldn't go back and forth.

The new stand there is impressive, but how egotistical is it naming the Stand after yourself as owner 😂

More importantly, was it as good as the Bob Bank village? Such luxuries!

It's very much a traditional football ground that has been upgraded piecemeal but none the worse for it. More character than the off-the-shelf bowls such as CCS. I would love to see new grounds with a bit of character and irregularity.

Abysmal concourse, obviously not sure what the home sections are like but CCS wins hands down for the 'behind the scenes'.

The trsditional ground with separate stands.
I'm hoping for a leather ball with laces revival.

CCS is a better stadium. Bigger and better facilities.

However Ashton Gate is much improved from what it was.

    It's capacity is now 27000

From the inside it looks as if they tried to make it look a bit like Anfield, but failed miserably

    Concourse is poor

a totally different ground to when I last visited ashton gate in the 90s (it was a dump then) and we was frog matched in and out of the ground like cattle and us away fans were housed in the corner that evening
Saturday we was given a whole end behind the goal i think enough room for around 2500-2800 half decent capacity
not a bad ground to look at from the stands the 4 stands are different heights
facilities though under the stand were shockingly poo well the away end anyway
acoustics very poor (couldn't quite hear much sound coming from the other 3 stands)
also the PA system was terrible
getting in and getting out of the ground was not a problem
    the staff were friendly

Capacity of away end is 3500, there were 3100 city fans there Saturday which for a 12 noon kick off is excellent support, let's hope , despite losing , we get a decent turnout against Brentford a week Saturday

Full capacity of the away end is apparently just over 4000. However I believe it's been reduced since it became 'all aways'. Leeds were given 3700 tickets and sold out, Villa 3600 and sold 3100 and we had 3300-3400 and sold something like 3060

I thought the view was good. Fans are close to the pitch which helped make for a good atmosphere. Agreed, the concourse is rubbish. There were some empty seats on the left hand side as you look at the away end plus front seats and LH corner were covered over. Overall, a good experience and easy to get away at the end....parked at Bedminster cricket club.

Past the flats that they used to chuck tins of baked beans at us now that was a walk and a 1/2, one trip in the early 90's we must have been walking for over 1 hour, some were worried we were going to get back to the bridge

I thought the 'village' was OK, and you could go 'back and forth'?
