CHED EVANS is being offered a way back into football by Oldham Athletic -- with a chance to re-start his career after being jailed for rape.
Evans has spoken to the League One side for a second time and they are now willing to take him on despite other clubs being hounded for giving him an opportunity.
To be announced today should be interesting

I think on the face of it Ched Evans' career is over.

No team wants the bad coverage, which shows there is a shred of decency left in football. Just have to feel for Evan's if he is, as he says, innocent.

Evans should have an opportunity to play football again, the samr as any person who has served their time for an offence should be allowed to continue their career.

What's the point? He's appealing so wait for the end of the appeal and then we don't have to have months and months of this story, I guarantee nothing is going to happen until then.

But the thing about employment is that he doesn't have to be a footballer. If you went to a jobseekers benefit meeting and said "Sorry, I cannot seem to get another job in football, so I'm unemployed", they'd probably laugh at you.The modern day footballer does lead a privileged life, there's no escaping that. Regardless of how much money they earn, I'd still consider it a jolly to have a knockabout twice a week and get paid for it.

It must be a right kick in the teeth for the poor girl who was subjected to the incident, she would have been just starting to move on with her life and now this happens.......... i bet when she heard the news on the radio she had to pull over to the side of the road in her new " mini cooper " and take 5 mins to compose herself
