for me anyway, was the fact that the announcement did not come with any conditions attached. We did not see statements that the Club will not receive any further investment or cutbacks will increase etc. Maybe that will come later although I don't think it will.
My overall feeling is a sense of great optimism for the future. Debt to Equity is not being dismissed and whilst I do not foresee, or indeed want, further massive expenditure on players, I can see the Club moving forward from a sound base.
