Not sure how accurate this is but makes for an interesting read.

Can someone show it to Russell Slade?

It falls down a little because you would expect that the top clubs would have the most possession and the top clubs employ foreign managers.

It makes exceptions in the articles for Monk, Rodgers, Hodgson and im sure Ferguson as a British manager would also have been high on possession stats.

Its clear that fans in this country prefer the foreign manager, it feels different and there is the hope that they will bring something different to their club.

Possession stats don't only show how much of the game you've had the ball for but also how little you've allowed the opposition to have it. I wouldn't mind having 40% in each game if the opposition were being put under so much pressure their possession was made up of hurried passes going nowhere, at the moment our lacking in holding onto the ball is not as important in how slow we are to put the opposition under pressure and how much space we give them to pass and move into.

Interestingly an article on bleacher report also appeared today showing that Man United are becoming more of a long ball team now that they play with 3 at the back.
