New TV connection

help required guys

got a new TV for bedroom. The old tv was connected to the sky hd box downstairs via a cable which then went into the upstairs tv via an adapter connected to a magic eye . This meant you could watch Sky upstairs (only what was on downstairs though) and use the magic eye to change channels with a normal sky remote.

Having put everything into the new TV the same way it will not find/pick up sky channels . keeps saying check antenna.

Am I doing something basic wrong ? or is it a case that the new TV will not recognise the old connection adapter ?

Did you tune in the new TV to the Sky connection via an appropriate input.

tried all the channel scans...kept saying no channels found...

help required guysWhat did the adapter look like? Was it a scart connection? Try plugging it into your new tv and select inputs or AV selection on the remote.

got it......searched digital aerial and it found one channel.....sky...happy days (was searching under digital cable and something else.
