Just tuned in to the last 20 minutes of the first half of Middlesboro and Leeds. They've shown more desire, energy, and will to chase and fight for the ball in those 20 minutes, than I've seen from our bunch of pansies all season. No wonder we're in a relegation scrap. Who is to blame? Slade because he doesn't kick their arses? Or the players themselves? God we are crying out for a leader on the pitch. A Graham Kavanagh type would be great. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

Think Leeds have looked a lot like the city for the last half hour of the first half sat on their 18 yard box inviting the opposition on to them.

Every post you make, I picture you as per your avatar. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/tong.gif I hope we have turned the corner, and I really want us to win today, but you see what I'm getting at? We've seen some absolute dross at CCS this season. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

I thought the big difference in Tuesday's performance was our central midfield two were pushed forward. Since Slade arrived we have been dropping deep and allowing the opposition to pass the ball around at will. When we eventually picked the ball up we were so deep and under so much pressure that the hoof forward was the only option. Tuesday night, Whitts and Gunns were pressuring Blackburn up the field each so that when we did win the ball back we had players in attacking positions who could pass the ball to each other. Huddersfield don't have anything like the breakaway threat Blackburn had in King so I expect us to be playing up on top of them all game.

Yes I have optimism bias but I really think we will improve if we keep playing the same high press we showed Tuesday
