Leeds owner Massimo Cellino hates the number 17.

Today Cardiff City made it 17 games unbeaten against Leeds Utd with the winning goal coming from no. 17 Aron Gunnarsson.

Its 31 years since Leeds beat Cardiff. Even when Leeds were top of the Premier League and Cardiff were in the third tier the Bluebirds beat their team full of superstars in the FA Cup.

It was a 7th consecutive away game for Cardiff without defeat on the road.

Cardiff are now 12th (top half) in the championship table.

Cardiff have secured their place in the Championship for next season with promotion and relegation impossible.

The amazing. Truly amazing stat is that in the last 32 years we have now won 13 games and lost none. 4 draws.

13 wins is staggering.

The odd number is an irritating cup win in the early naughties we beat them in the FA cup at Ninian. I recall.

If Leeds fail to beat Cardiff next season it will be the equivalent of the two teams playing just each other home and away for half a Premier League season without Leeds winning a single game.

With Cardiff gaining the equivalent of 41 points and Leeds gaining 5.
