When Osborne was booed at the Paralympics in 2012 it was claimed that it was the general public showing their opposition to his governments ideological cuts against the poorest and most vulnerable. After last nights results I can only assume that people were actually only booing because they felt a little bit poorer themselves?

This result will cause deeper and more damaging cuts to public services, probably more widely felt than before.

Are we a country of selfish people whose values and morals stretch little further than our own pockets?

I think most people get the issue - you earn 1k a month - and you have 1.5k going out - meaning you are losing £500 a month. A £500 a month deficit and a debt increasing by £500 a month.

Do you try and cut back on your outgoings or go and get a new credit card ?

It's easy to boo the 'baddy' especially when you dont have to sort out the bills. It's even harder to make tough decisions to get your out goings down.

If you are hard left - you will never accept financial responsibility. Brown / Blair / Balls and Milliband never did - and people remembered that. Just because you are hard left and rant and shout at people - they tend to not bother to tell you how they'll vote.

A £500 a month deficit and a debt increasing by £500 a month. You could get a better job and earn more money. To relate it to a household example, if the 500 pound extra per month was going on a university course that was going to earn you more money in the future AND the rate of interest you are paying on this borrowing was really low, would your decision change?

It was Agent Sturgeon wot won it.
She persuaded Labour voters in Scotland to vote SNP in the knowledge they were voting for a pact with Labour to keep out the Tories. Simultaneously she was piling on the pressure on Miliband to agree a pact even though she knew this would put him on the defensive in England. She knew exactly what she was doing and sure enough the Tories and the rabid right wing press went for him stirring up English nationalism causing real damage to Labour in Con marginals.

In the end Agent Sturgeon got what she really wanted...a Tory majority in Westminster. She can now say to the Scots that the will of Scotland has been ignored and that another independence referendum is required.

Agent Sturgeon has handed the Tories victory on a plate.
However I have a feeling tens of thousands of former Labour voters will realise they have been duped.

Agent Sturgeon will be found out in the end.

It was Agent Sturgeon wot won it.If all the snp seats switched to labour, the tory party would still have won though.

Balancing the books is an idealistic Tory policy and I have no idea why Labour latched onto it during this election. The deficit needed to be reduced to normal, workable levels. Anything else is just Tory rhetoric that the public seem to have lapped up.

It was Agent Sturgeon wot won it.What concerns me is that there is a growing strain of English nationalism in the Tory party. A nationalism that will become an unstoppable force if Scotland eventually gains independence. The longer term result would also be independence by default for Wales and the total fragmentation of the union. Putting aside romantic notions of patriotism, I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of us wouldn't relish the prospect of an 'independent' Wales, heavily reliant on tourism and EU handouts.

What will happen when the ultra right of the Tory party start knocking on Camerons Door?

There are suggestions that the European referendum will be brought forward as early as 2016 to apiece the far right.

Will the British public be so gullible a second time around or will they swallow Murdochs bile?

Worrying times if the far right take control and finish Thatchers work!
