NHS bosses get big pay rises, that is not political, you all may have missed the point I was trying to make, anybody in the public sector, that we pay taxes for, should not have such scandalous pay rises, they should have the same as anyone else in the public sector, get it?

There's a forum just for these sort of threads now Governor.I'd rather see it merged again to be honest,its an unecessessry pain in the neck switching back and for between the two when I'm on my mobile.

There is another side to this argument. Firstly as far as Im aware they didn't award themselves the rise, it was an independent pay body. How independent it actually is of course is arguable. Secondly, we get the politicians we deserve. It could be a case the place is full of numptys because the pay isn't attractive enough to attract people of calibre with business experience as they are busy earning a decent crust in the private sector.

Of course there are arguments about whether the WG should exist in the first place but in the interests of balance, just putting the other side.
